We are pleased to announce that during the Regular Board Meeting on January 13, 2026, Washington Colony School received a $5,000 grant from the Masumoto Family Farm Grant Program. This grant will support the expansion of the Reading Lab, helping to promote Student Reading Success and enhance educational outcomes.

Mr. Chuck Vivenzi, our beloved Bus Driver.
Chuck Vivenzi, was a beloved Bus Driver/ Custodian at Washington Colony School for 25 years. He was a friend to all who knew him. Students and staff at Washington Colony can attest to Chuck’s kindness and especially his giving ways. For anyone in need, Chuck would be the first one to step in to help. Washington Colony was Chuck’s home away from home. He treated the school as if it was his personal property and the staff and students as his family. Most everyday he could be seen staying late after his work normal hours still doing chores around the school. For 20 years, Chuck never used a sick day. Chuck’s dedication to his work and work ethic should be admired by all. We are honored to carry out is legacy through a scholarship in memory of Chuck. We proud to honor a former Washington colony student with the Chuck Vivenzi Memorial scholarship.
